Auditions for The Mousetrap

Please come out and be a part of Curtain Call’s production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. This classic mystery has been running in London for over 50 years and we look forward to putting our own unique stamp on it.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13th and 14th, from 6-8 pm and on Saturday, July 17th, from 1-3 pm. All auditions will be at the Kirksville Arts Center, 117 S. Franklin.

The story takes place between the New York offices of Snood Publishing and the mythical town of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. It’s a clever musical centered around Joe Sneed and his mundane career ghostwriting Trixie True, Teen Detective novels for teenage girls.

But when Joe decides to end it all by writing Trixie into a situation he can’t get out of, we see problems galore for Trixie and her “chums”. Will she ever crack the case of “The Mystery of the Tapping Shoes”? Fun for all ages!

This will be a show you don’t want to miss. It’s an uproariously entertaining play about love, wealth, poverty, and adventure. It’s the play which the musical ’Hello, Dolly!’ was based off of.

Trixie True auditions extended

We are extending the auditions for Trixie True the musical because, as of now, we don’t have enough actors! We would love for anyone to audition, but we are in particular need of a few more guys!

Auditions/callbacks will be this Wednesday evening (Feb 24) at 6pm at the Kirksville Arts center.

We would like you to learn a simple song from the show for auditions: Guys learn Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dickerson or the male vocals for Katzenjammer song.
Girls learn Mystery of the Moon or female vocals for Katzenjammer song.

You will sing one of these songs, and also do some cold readings (in groups) from the show.

We really hope to have a better turn out on Wednesday evening, and hope to see you all there!

We’re now holding auditions for Curtain Call Theatre Company’s next production: Thornton Wilder’s ‘The Matchmaker’ – an uproariously entertaining play about love, wealth, poverty, and adventure!. This is the play which the musical “Hello Dolly!” is based on.

Cast Requirements: 9 men, 7 women

Auditions: Thursday, January 28th 6-8p
Saturday, January 30th 1-3p

Auditions will be held at the Kirksville Arts Center (117 South Franklin). Call (619) 302-4064 for more information or to arrange an alternate audition time.
